The ContentAware™ processor, formerly known as the fast filter processor (FFP), is designed to support access control lists,
differentiated services, and quality of service (QoS) type applications. Filtering can be performed on traffic received on the
GbE ports, and HiGig port(s), and 10-GbE port(s). There are standard packet fields extracted by the ContentAware
Processor, such as: MACDA, MACSA, DIP, SIP, TCP, and so on. In addition, user defined fields can also be specified. This
is a much more powerful filtering engine than the FFP on previous StrataXGS devices.
